Educational work

Educational work at the Faculty is held according to the "Conception of education of children and youth in the national system of education of Ukraine" and "Conceptual principles of humanitarian education of Ukraine". Educational work is directed at the supply of necessary conditions for a student's self-realization, education of legal, linguistic and spiritual culture of a student's individuality; for the full-value development of youth, and also for the formation of highly-qualified specialists.

Educational process inside academic groups is realized with the help of tutors. The main thing of the tutor's work – is the catering for the descent of social experience, spiritual values, received by the nation of Ukraine as well as by humanity in general, to the young generation. The atmosphere of collaboration should be reached by the relations between a tutor and a student. Tutors constantly realize and improve new forms of individual work taking into consideration the character of an individuality, and also student's life conditions. During the cooperation with students of lower years of study, mare attention is paid to their adaptation to the students' life, the schedule and demands of educational process, overcoming the difficulties that appear.

Individual work of tutors, professors and lecturers staff of the Faculty is directed for the familiarization of students with traditions of the University, possibilities of realization of their art individuality by students. An important principle of education – is education through the collective – is tightly linked with the individual education and its aim is to create such atmosphere inside the students' group, the course, where there is mutual understanding, friendship, respect for the professionalism, where the base for further cooperation develops. These tasks are set for tutors of groups, courses, by a dean assistant of the educational work and by a dean of the Faculty.

At the Faculty there are such forms and means of educational work, that demand mutual efforts from all the members of students' association: participation in sports competitions of different kinds of sport, holding the Day of the Faculty, holding the contest for the best students' newspaper etc. Every month tutors of the Faculty hold educational hours, where they meet students, discuss problems, which are connected with the educational process at the Faculty. Every month tutors are invited for the seminar of tutors. Course leaders, representatives of trade unions and members of students' self-government at the Faculty help their tutors with their work. The work of tutors is guided by a dean assistant of educational work, who systematically visit educational hours of academic groups and hold tutors' meetings. Tutors' reports on their work is sometimes heard at the department meetings and at the academic council of the Faculty, periodical analysis of forms and methods of their work takes place. At the begining of the academic year, course leaders of all academic groups are chosen with the help of tutors and confirmed by the dean of the Faculty. The dean's office regularly invite course leaders for meetings, where different problems and issues connected with the academic and educational work are discussed: visiting lectures, students' progress in studies etc. 

At the beginning of the year, the plan of educational work at the Faculty for the current year is written and confirmed by the students' activists  and the dean. Educational work is realized at the Faculty according to this plan. Educational work at the Faculty is directed to the development of students' abilities, enrichment of their aesthetic experience through the involvment into taking active part in art self-activity. Students of the Faculty report at the scientific conferences. Students of the Faculty take active part in the Faculty and All-University concerts and contests, which are devoted to different holidays. Under the leadership of editorial staff of the Faculty, newspaper comntests are held. Students of the Faculty take part in sports competitions among courses and faculties. During the year students of the Faculty visit lectures about healthy way of life and the formation of culture of marital relations. National and patriotic education of students is also realized. Literary and musical evenings devoted to anniversaries of the leading figures of the national culture are held, where the students are also recruited. Work with first-year students is done separately. Tutors and course leaders are responsible for the preparation for the contest of every group. Various conversations and questioning are conducted with the first-year students. Many students of the Faculty are engaged in different clubs and sections of the University. 

Nonresident students have places in the dormitories according to the rating for settling. After the settling block leaders are chosen, who are responsible for the order in the dormitory.A dormitory is often visited by tutors and the dean assisstant, a special attention is paid to the propaganda of healthy way of life. Every month sanitary and hygienic raids are held.
