Educational work
The Faculty of Horticulture, Ecology and Plants Protection is one of the oldest Faculties, which has educated alot of significant scientists, politicians, fruit and vegetable raisers and others. The educational work plays an important role in modern scientists' training. The training in a modern educational institution must combine the education of the demands of the nation, state, civilization and individuality.
Tutors of academic groups hold educational classes on different themes every week: «Future Profession», «Value of Life», «Students' Family», «Ethics», «Behaviour under Extreme Conditions», «The Influence of Society on the Individual» and others. Students and tutors spend their time outside the University rather joyfully and actively, travel through the country, organize sports competitions, rest in the forest.
The best students and activists of the Faculty participate in the contest "The Best Student" every year.
Anna Cherdnyk, a student of the 41st-p group, and Olena Fomenko, a student of the 42nd-p group, took part on the 28th of April in 2012.
Pavlo Melnychenko, a student of the 31st-p group, and Nataliia Brovko, a student of the 31st-zr group, represented the Faculty on the 13th of November in 2012.
Each student has his or her own hobbies, priorities in their education and entertainment, but nobody is insensible to the students' public life. Students actively participate in amateur art activities.
The team of panel games, "Sweet Peppers", with the head Anatolii Shchur, a student of the 42nd - p group, doesn't let us lose our heart at the Faculty.
Students of the Faculty conducted "Lottery of Love" on the 14th of February in 2013 for the St. Valentine's Day, each student tried his or her luck and won interesting prizes.
On the 21st of October in 2013 the Faculty celebrated the Day of an Apple. On this day the tasting of different sorts of apples, that were grown in the University garden was realized.
The process of education at the faculty is integrally combined with the process of studing of the youth, mastering main sciences, wealth of national and world culture. All the students and lecturers take an active part in different measures at the Faculty.
