There was teleconference with Dorothy and Peter Walter from Milford Haven who could see what was happening in the room and become active participants in the communication.

The event was attended by special guests, people, who established a friendly relationship between Uman and Milford. They were the first "people’s ambassadors" of our town in Great Britain. They represented our country so brightly that Welsh fell in love with our country and its culture at first sight. They are well known in our town Raisa Homivna Osadchuk, Eugenia Mykolaivna Lapchinska and Olen Oleksiivna Kostrytsya. Seeing them, Dorothy and Peter could not hold back emotions. And it made very sincere and warm atmosphere at the event.

After the meeting, we received this letter from Dorothy and Peter Walter:

Dear friends of Uman and Uman National University of Horticulture. I am so excited today and too emotional to say all I wanted to say. St David’s day has always been very special to us. Today it was extra special .You all have a very special place in our hearts. We are all one big family. Words cannot express what we feel for you dear friends. The familiar and new faces of you all meant so much to us. I cannot express enough what I felt seeing you dear people. It was a lovely surprise, and you did it so well. I loved hearing everyone singing ‘Now is the hour’. That was a surprise. The Welsh cakes, which were made by your girls, looked very nice. We are so very pleased to be fortunate to have had the opportunity of meeting you all. Thank you once again. As I said before you made the day very special for us. I will never forget it. We love you so much.

     Many Many thanks.
